Academic Search Premier Video Tutorial: Home

This guide demonstrates how to conduct basic and advanced searches in Ebsco's Academic Search Premier Database.

What is Academic Search Premier?

Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary database that provides indexing, abstracts and much full text for academic journals, magazines, trade publications, and newspapers on every topic.

This tutorial will demonstrate Basic and Advanced searches in Academic Search Premier. Click on the relevant tab above to begin the tutorial.

To access the database, on the Buley Library Home Page, select Academic Search Premier which appears first under the list of "Popular Databases" on the left panel. See screenshot below. You can also view a video on accessing the database by selecting "Academic Search Premier" tab above.

Note: If you are accessing the database from off-campus, you will be prompted for your MySCSU username and password. See screenshot below.

Off-campus Access

If you are trying to access the database from off-campus, you will be prompted for your SCSU Username and password. This is the same as your Banner username and password.
