What is Google Scholar?

Google Scholar is a free search engine that provides scholarly literature across many disciplines. It includes books, journal articles, theses, abstracts and court opinions, academic publishers, professional societies, conference presentations, technical reports, online repositories, and web sites.

Buley Library's databases can be linked to Google Scholar so when you search Google Scholar, you can access the full text of sources available in SCSU,

Follow these steps to manually link Google Scholar to Hilton C. Buley Library's collection:
  1. Go to Google Scholar.
  2. In the upper left side of your screen, click on the three lines.
  3. Click the Settings link or gear icon. ...
  4. In the left column, under Search Results, click on Library Links.
  5. In the search box, type in Southern Connecticut State University and click the blue Search icon (magnifying glass).
  6. Check the box(es) next to Southern Connecticut State University from the list that shows up.

Once you have linked the library's resources to Google Scholar, you are all set and don't need to repeat the process again.
