Literature Online (LION) Video Tutorial

This tutorial demonstrates how to search the Literature Online or LION database.

What is LION?

Literature Online or LION is a fully searchable library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 251 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.

To access LION, begin at the Buley Library Home Page and select "More Databases" which appears under "Popular Databases" on the left panel. On the databases page, click on the "L" tab in the A-Z list of databases and then scroll down and select Literature Online from the list of "L" databases.Click on "Accessing LION" tab above for a video on how to access the database.

Please note that off-campus users will be prompted for a username and password.

This tutorial will show you how to search the Literature Online or LION database. It consists of four segments - Quick Search, Author Search, Texts Search, and Criticism and Reference. We recommend you take these tutorials in sequence to get a meaningful overview of how to search the database effectively.
