Sense Scanners

The STEAMLab has two Sense 3D scanners that can be used within the library. The scanners are designed to capture a three dimensional image of physical objects, including people.

Booking the Scanner

The Sense handheld 3D scanners use specialty software to capture the 3D model. The library has installed this software on a laptop that can be provided when scanning objects. Book time on the calendar below to borrow the 3D scanner and laptop.

Once the model is captured you can save it in a file format that can be edited on a different computer using 3D modeling software.

3D Systems manufactures the Sense 3D Scanner. Below are links to tutorials and documents provided by the vendor.
