The IDEA Lab has two Makerbot Replicator+ 3D printers (pictured above).
3D printing is still an emerging technology and there are a variety of hardware options available on the market today, from small, inexpensive experimental units to large commercial and industrial production. The Makerbot Replicator+ has been designed for rapid prototyping and for the education market. While it can reproduce designs with high quality and resolution, there are some limitations to its abilities. If you have questions about the printing options available when you have a complex design, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'd be happy to consult with you on your project.
