The Social Work Department uses the APA (American Psychological Association) Style for writing and publishing. The guide is formally called the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and informally referred to as the "APA Style Guide".
Buley Library owns print copies of the most recent APA Style Guide and keeps them at the reference desk for you to use in the library. There is also an electronic version you can access.
APA Style Central is an electronic resource that also contains everything you need to know about APA Style. You must set up a separate account in APA Style Central. APA Style Central has tutorials on research and writing, can track your references, store your works-in-progress, and provides APA style template papers.
Microsoft Word also has a built-in citation and reference tracker as well as a bibliography generator.
