The Makerspace is provided by the Hilton C. Buley University Library to support learning, creativity, and exploration in a rapidly changing technology environment. It is our hope that Makerspace area, equipment, and materials will inspire imagination in the SCSU community. We encourage makers or aspiring-makers to take an idea and make something from it.
The Library's exploration in Makerspaces began in 2015 with the acquisition of a 3D printer and some electronic kits. We are grateful to Cindy Schofield, former Head of Technical Services in Buley Library and professor in the Library and Information Science department, who founded and established this project.
