This is the old version of the physics guide. You can find the new guide by following this link: https://libguides.southernct.edu/physics
Non-fiction books can be either scholarly or popular. Scholarly books are written for scholars in the field and would be considered primary or secondary sources. Popular books are written for a general audience and would be considered tertiary. You can find both types of books in our online catalog or in the library.
Most books and other items in the library are organized by the Library of Congress Call Number system. In that system, the basic sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.) are under Q.
Physics is in the QC's. You'll find physics materials in the STACKS (3rd floor), Oversized Books (3rd floor), Media (1st floor), and Reference (2nd floor). You may also find books on related topics in other areas, such as the T's for instrumentation and technology.
Here are the subjects associated with specific call numbers, in case you'd like to browse. However, if you are looking for something specific, searching SouthernSearch is usually quicker.
