SouthernSearch is the shared library catalog for the SCSU and CSCU libraries. Use the search box and the center pull-down menu to select books and collections at SCSU, the CT State Colleges and Universities, and to find articles, ebooks, and course reserve materials. Then, use the limiters on the left to focus your search. T0 locate a print book on the shelf in Buley Library, take note of the location of the book and the call number. SCSU students can request materials from other CSCU libraries for pickup at Buley Library. Please be sure that you are logged into your library account on the Buley Library Website (see "My Account" on top right). 

Use the Interlibrary Loan service to request books and articles outside of SCSU and the CSCU system.

Sample Searches using SouthernSearch:

"Asian Art" (This is a general search on a broad topic. Use the limiters on the left to focus.)

"Japan and Edo and prints" (This search consists of a string of keywords and is more focused than the previous search.)

"Hokusai and Fuji" (This is a focused search.)
