Ways to Search

ERIC will look for your search terms across a set of key ERIC fields: title, author, source, abstract and descriptor. You can also enter an ERIC accession number (ERIC ID) to search for the ERIC document itself, as well as documents that mention or cite the document by ID. An ISBN, ISSN or IES Grant/Contract Number may also be entered directly into the search box.lementary education" narrows a search to only those records containing the phrase elementary education.

Use the field:

author:young

author:"john young"

title:"test scores"

abstract:"no child left behind"

pubyear:2002

You can limit your search further by choosing Peer reviewed only or Full text available on ERIC.

What it is and where to find the texts

The Education Resources Information Center provides the public with a centralized ERIC Web site for searching the ERIC bibliographic database of more than 1.1 million citations going back to 1966. Buley has a large collection of the ERIC documents on microfiche. Check there by the 6 digit document number starting with ED (eg. ED540486) if the full text document is not available online through ERIC.
