Library Use Calculator: What's your library worth to you?
How much would you pay out-of-pocket for your library services if you had to purchase them directly? To find out:
Enter the number of times you used each service in the last month (use the TAB key to get to the next row).
The estimated cost of each service will be automatically calculated.
The total value of your monthly use of the library will show at the bottom of the table.
This calculator worksheet is adapted from the
Library Use Calculator of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Library, which was in turn adapted from the downloadable spreadsheet, originally provided by the Massachusetts Library Association and then adapted for the web by Chelmsford Public Library. Maine State library then added extra accessibility coding and reformatting for ease of reading online. This spreadsheet requires Microsoft Excel, the Excel Viewer, or similar spreadsheet software.
An explanation of the values used can be found at the
Calculator Explanation page.
