Library Social Media

Library Social Media Policy

The Library uses social media to raise awareness of library resources, services, and events. While efforts are made to post the majority of announcements on all active platforms, shared posts from other accounts and platform-related posts may not be shared across platforms.

While the Library encourages the civil and academic discussion of issues related to the Library and libraries, higher education, social justice, and the Southern community, the Library reserves the right to delete posts and comments, and to block accounts that engage in:

  • harassment;
  • hate speech and denigration of others;
  • illegal content, including copyright infringement.
