DMPTool

DMPTool (Data Management Plan Tool) is a free, open-source online application that assists researchers in developing a data management plan for their work. Since many funding agencies now require formal data management plans for their grant proposal submission process, DMPTool is a valuable resource.

DMPTool was a grassroots effort by eight institutions in direct response to demands from funding agencies, such as the National Science Foundation, that researchers present a plan for their data when submitting grant proposals. These eight institutions together were able to consolidate expertise and reduce costs while addressing data management needs.
