What is ORCID?

orcid iconORCID (Open Research and Contributor Identification) is a nonprofit organization supported by a global community of organizational members that provides you with an identification number that connects you to your scholarly works. This iD is a unique, open digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher with the same or similar name as you.
