Sit Down & Write!: What? When? Why?

About the library series of writing workshops

What is "Sit Down & Write"?

Starting Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Sit Down & Write is a “Facilitated Writing” session. The idea is that we can have a dedicated time, every week, devoted to writing…or any other quiet creative activity. By scheduling it, and having a group, we can motivate ourselves to actually Sit Down & Write.

We’re using the Pomodoro Technique, which consists of 25 minute working sessions and 5 minute breaks: a time tested technique that helps many people focus and accomplish tasks.

This semester, Fall 2020, we'll try it virtually!

We've set up a Microsoft Teams group for Sit Down & Write. Go into Teams and click the icon for the list of Teams. At the bottom is a link to 'Join or Create a Team.' Click that and enter t4is0ho in the 'Join a Team with a Code' option.

You'll get invitations for all the Sit Down & Write events and we can share ideas and resources for improving our focus and productivity.
