Poster production is housed in Access Services and provides poster and large-format printing services. Requests can be submitted online at https://libguides.southernct.edu/PosterProduction/posters. Poster production is conducted with limited hours due to limited staffing.
Create the poster in MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, or Adobe Photoshop. Files should be saved submitted as PDF to preserve formatting. Be sure the dimensions of the file match the requested dimensions of the poster. We do not format or design large-format printing. All printing will be made from the file you provide.
Payment for printing services must be made at the time of pickup via HootLoot, check, or Banner Department Account.
Sit Down & Write is a “Facilitated Writing” session. The idea is that we can have a dedicated time, every week, devoted to writing…or any other quiet creative activity. By scheduling it, and having a group, we can motivate ourselves to actually Sit Down & Write.
We’re using the Pomodoro Technique, which consists of 25 minute working sessions and 5 minute breaks: a time-tested technique that helps many people focus and accomplish tasks.

We're recruiting!
Interest is high but scheduling is tough. So I want to expand the session schedule by recruiting facilitators. Want to set up regular departmental, office, or club sessions? Want some peer support to schedule your own regular writing practice? Sit Down & Write can help. Two hours once a month on Monday mornings, every Thursday afternoon for an hour... Even a single session during Fall 2025 is fine!
Facilitating is easy - just keep an eye on the timer. The important part is showing up, for you and the Sit Down & Write community.
