Searching in the Library

Below are ways to access information such as books, articles, and more. Subject librarians can meet with students one on one for help with locating good information for research papers and assist faculty with finding articles and other resources for their personal research. Contact your subject librarian to get started.

SouthernSearch provides simple, one-stop searching for books and e-books, videos, articles, digital media, and more.

SouthernSearch also helps you manage your research. Sign-in in order to:

  • Renew books and videos
  • Create favorites lists
  • Export citations
  • View full search results. (Some databases only show results when you're signed in.)

Use Advanced Search to use search limits like Language and Date, and to search by Author, Title, Subject, ISBN, etc.
