Resource:Smarthistory is a multimedia Art History textbook covering the ancient world to Post-Colonial styles. Entries include images, conversations with art historians and scholars, museum tours, and essays, with links to additional web sites and materials.
Using the same techniques as Street View, Google brings art museums to the web in a new way. Tour museums and view representative artwork at astonishingly close viewpoints. (Closer, in fact, than many of the pieces can be viewed in the museums themselves.) With a Google Account, you can organize and share a "collection".
Tours of museums, plus high resolution images of artwork
Students, faculty, staff, as well as individuals and community visitors are all welcome. To schedule a viewing of the Artists' Book Collection contact:
